Quality, Best Practice and Excellence.

Let us, from the outset, dispel two wrong notions.

1) 'Quality', in the formal management sense, has nothing to do with the 'fit-for-purpose' colloquial 'quality' (lower case).  'Quality' simply means "Doing What You Said You Would Do' (DWYSYWD).

2) Best Practice should not be confused with what the majority do. The reality is; that the majority are most frequently not observing best practice. Best Practice is simply a way of performing day-to-day tasks in a way that has been proven to enhance the well-being of the organisation (the emphasis is that it is proven!).

We define an organisation as demonstrating 'Excellence' if they:
"... have a Quality System that defines Best Practice processes."
