CMS Templates

While the CMS database stores all the content information for the website(s); 'Templates' are what determines Layout and appearance. Templates are supported by a host of other files (style sheets, program files etc) to define every attribute of the Layout.

When deciding on a CMS some important things to consider are:

• ability to use multiple templates on the same site
• availability of (at least hundreds) of free templates
• availability ot numerous development resources to create bespoke templates
• templates must be open-source (to allow for future customisation to your very own 'look-and-feel'). Never use 'closed-source' templates!
